PROJECT MEETING IN LEUVEN 2025

4/11/2025

On April 10 and 11, 2025, the BUILD CARE project team gathered in Leuven, Belgium, for an in-person meeting. The event was hosted by the Research[x]Design team at the Faculty of Architecture, KU Leuven – an inspiring setting for two days filled with exchange, reflection, and collaboration.

The first day kicked off with a "Research Update Session," where all project partners shared the current status of their work, outlined upcoming steps, and discussed open questions and challenges together. This was followed by a “PhD Seminar” featuring architecture doctoral candidates Birgit Moser and Anne-Sophie Schoß. Their presentations on the progress of their research sparked a lively discussion with the project team. The day concluded with a “Persona Development Session,” focused on refining user profiles of children affected by stroke.

The second day centered around the dissemination of research results and planning for the future. In the "Research Dissemination" session, the group developed targeted strategies for publishing and sharing project outcomes. The final session, “Looking Ahead,” turned the focus beyond the current project: initial ideas and steps for potential follow-up projects and future research proposals were explored collaboratively.

The Leuven meeting marked not only a milestone in the project timeline but also a valuable moment of connection – offering space for fresh perspectives and insights.
