In the winter semester of 2023/24, 13 architecture students from the Chair of Social and Health Care Buildings and Design at TU Dresden explored the architectural needs of children recovering from a stroke. The semester theme was chosen as part of the ongoing Build Care project.
As part of the "ARCH4HEALTH Student Research Lab", the students carried out their own research projects and design tasks, focusing on questions such as: How can the well-being of children recovering from a stroke be enhanced in patient rooms? What architectural elements can encourage the activity of affected children in kindergartens? And how can schools implement concepts to support these children’s concentration? These and other questions are addressed in the newly published volume titled "Schlaganfall bei Kindern".
The volume is now available for free download on Qucosa. Please note that the book is only available in German.
